Welcome to PSLE made easy
Clearer Systems. Better Revision. More Purposeful Practice.
A student-friendly and parent-friendly resource space built to help children understand what each PSLE English component is really testing.
This website is not meant to overwhelm students with more and more work.
It helps students revise with clearer systems. When students understand what a component is testing, they can practise with more purpose, correct mistakes more meaningfully, and build stronger habits over time.
The focus is simple: know the skill, understand the strategy, practise with purpose, and learn from mistakes.
Parent Note
This website works best when your child uses it before and after practice — not instead of it. Start with the component your child finds hardest. Read the guide together, then let your child attempt practice. Afterwards, return to the guide to understand what went wrong and what needs improving. Less pressure, more direction.
Student Note
“Do not just do more work. Know what the work is training you to do.”

These pages give the big picture before students move into the individual English components.
- Sitemap — the main navigation page for all PSLE Made Easy resources.
- Why English? — why English matters beyond examination marks.
- Planning for PSLE English — work backwards from the target AL and plan by component.
- Student Responsibility & Attitude — effort, ownership and follow-through.
PSLE English: The Four Papers
PSLE English is not one single skill. Each paper tests something different, so revision should be planned by component.
- Paper 1: Writing — SW and CW. Plan before writing, answer the task, develop ideas and proofread carefully.
- Paper 2: Language Use & Comprehension — grammar, vocabulary, editing, synthesis, visual text, comprehension cloze and OE comprehension.
- Paper 3: Listening Comprehension — read ahead, track sequence, catch keywords, mark details and protect every mark.
- Paper 4: Oral — reading aloud and stimulus-based conversation.
